tedicast
Re: gold tip arrows DoubleH... The nocks snap right in, but the insert need to be glued. The GT, XT Hunters are awesome arrows! You won't be dissapointed.
double_H
Re: gold tip arrows so..i've read that aligning your broadhead with your fletching is folklore. Is this true? I shoot a two blade fixed blade and have always aligned them, because i thought it was right. I hate the idea of re-heating glue to tune arrows. Chrud
Re: gold tip arrows It's personal preference. A tuned bow should be able to shoot broadheads fine, whether the blades and vanes are lined up or not. Me, I like to try to line them up. Also, with carbons, NEVER re-heat the insert and rotate it. [/ QUOTE ] When we set up arrows, we glue the insert, and align, and spin test our BH's at the same time, before the glue sets. We keeps some arrows specifically for field points, and some are strictly broad head arrows.
Guest gfourhunter
Re: gold tip arrows golt tip makes two type of nocks. one has a set screw in it and one dont. when you buy gold tips they come with the nocks that dont have a set screw. they just snap in. easy to tune the way you like. the one with a set screw is the old style like the ones with the acc arrows. they also make a speed nock but i wouldn't use them for hunting, just targets. too_pointer
Re: gold tip arrows gold tips are fine arrows. You sure don't hear any complaints from hunters who shoot them. I have used them for years, luv them too_pointer
Tony
Re: gold tip arrows i have shot Goldtips for years either the XTs or Pros.. they are probably the best carbon arrow out there for hunting... i always spin tune mine before gluing in the inserts . that way im assured of getting the insert in straight and aligned with my broadhead.. thats why my broadheads fly just like my field points... as for reheating them you can reheat the inserts and turn them slightly if you using hot melt.. just make sure you have a field point in it and use very little heat at the tip of the field point.. i have been doing this for years and also to the customers arrows i repair..
