bbarcheryhunter
Anybody know much about it and Wat to expect in the next couple of years for pa ?
wtnhunt
Any confirmed cases? Don't think PA is on the list of states with import bans http://www.tn.gov/twra/pdfs/cwdban.pdf. Your own fish and game would have the best outlook for what to expect.

wtnhunt
Don't know how up to date this is Wildlife, but may be helpful. Looks like a case was confirmed in Adams county on a game farm. If you still have questions would probably talk with your game warden and see if he might have some clarification or insight.
JimPic
There was a case reported in Adams Co. of an infected deer on a commercial deer farm. There are no confirmed cases of CWD in the wild. The PGC set up a DMA(disease mgmt. area) that's about 600-sq. miles involving York and Adams counties. Any deer killed in this area has to go to a check station to be tested
i'm your huckleberry
Alberta, Saskatchewan border area had fish and wildlife do a big round up so to speak, disposed of 2500 deer, out of those animals only 20 cases of CWD were found, the rest were all put into a pit and buried. From what i have gathered it is a close relative to mad cow. Could this be caused by a few farmers disposing of animal protein feed the wrong way? Maybe, maybe not. I was appaulled when i heard this. Could'nt the fish and wildlife have extended the season and give supplemental tags to reduce the population? In recent years this area has produced 180 to 200 class animals. I have seen these monster running around chasing does during the rut, but they always seemed to be on posted land. What a shame to destroy those genetics!
