N8J Posted October 24, 2012 Report Share Posted October 24, 2012 I am right handed and my right shoulder is just killing me I can hardly pull my bow back! it grinds and is almost always in constant pain had x-rays and came back nothing wrong. Pain meds only mask the problems, continuing on with the activity causing the pain while taking pain meds may lead to more damage. absolutely agree.... definitely lay low or find out the problem. don't take meds and keep going it'll only get worse. i've known of young kids in highschool pulling too much weight and messing their shoulder up. old or young sometimes it doesn't matter. shoot less and turn down your weight at least. WStreblo Posted October 24, 2012 Report Share Posted October 24, 2012 shoulder pain I just had surgery on my shoulder much like what your going thru. Shots didn't work nor did pt. They went in to scope it and ended up having 3 tears they couldn't see on the MRI and had to remove the bersa sac and grind some bones down... I was laid up for 4 months. Had I went in last year during bow season the pre-surgery shots and pt might have had an effect...
