I appoligize for that post. Im just sick of people coming here to hunt when they can hunt much cheaper in there state. But you guys should see the NR hunters that come to North IA for pheasants. I bet about one of every five hunters is from IA. If they want to come here for pheasants they should go to southern IA. Around here there are not nearly as many pheasants as there are there

Heck, me and about 10 buddies were planning on going to northern Iowa for a pheasant hunt. cool.gif Should be fun! grin.gif

Now this has to be a first for me since I've been a member here on the RealTree Forums..... smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

A iffy post that could have gone bad real quick, instead turning into a constructive and learning debate..... smile.gifsmile.gif,,,,,my hat is off to all of you, maybe Scotts little post to us all has done some good or just maybe we all have learned to think about what we have to say before we just go off typing... smile.gifsmile.gif

As for out of state hunters I for one would welcome them it's a great oppertunity to meet new people and friends from another state.....Like what was stated we are all hunters that just love to hunt... smile.gifsmile.gif

Hey Horst!!

You hit it out of the park. If they want to raise the # of out of state licenses and control the deer population: Make those non-resisdents buy a doe license and take a doe first!!! 4,500 any-sex tags is where we are now. Sounds ok to me. Here in Winneshiek County I don't hear anyone complain about too many deer. Being a Veterinarian I see the farmers everyday and do not hear complaints.

just my thoughts
