Ryan.Oren5
Alright so I haven't had much luck so I'm moving spots here's my setup: behind me is thick brush were they bed, now it's getting into the rut so ill be using tinks 69 and making a trial of it and it'll be coming out of the bedding area and leading to a doe decoy. I have the primos can also ill be using that also. How's that soud for a setup? Help wanted

wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Getting close to a bedding area could be great so long as you don't blow them out and so long as you are where the deer are coming from or going to. Never really tried a decoy here, but sounds like that should work ok so long as the deer travel where they will pick up the scent trail you lay down or be able to see the decoy. abrown
Sounds good, let us know how the decoy works out! I have the same set up, but no decoy, and it's still early here to be using estrus doe scent.
dbHunterNY
could work..... spray down the decoy and your walking path from decoy to treestand real well with scent-away spray. then use a little tink on scent wick on the decoy. don't have to go into the bedding area. i'd just stay out of it and have the scent trail skirt the edge of it along a deer trail that's up wind of it. you won't blow deer out with your scent and a buck may use this to cruise through the bedding area quickly.
