92xj
Got my mount finished up today. Turned out how I wanted besides the nose piece that the dog decided he wanted to eat while it was drying.

92xj
Yeah, well kind of. I did the skull work and antler work and then had my taxi friend mount the moose shed to the wood since I dont have any of my saws out here from my move. Going to keep my eye out on a piece of drift wood to replace the wood with. Just had that laying around and wanted it on the wall till I found something cooler. bowhunter97
Looks good. I just set em i and ant pile for a while bleach only the skull then put a coat of like seashell colored paint that is like a white with a very light tan just to keep it all even. The last one though i painted green. Only because the skull was given to me to practice on.

Adjam5
The moose antler is very different. I like it. Never seen it before. That bites about your dog getting at the nasal cavity bones. No pun intended. Ben, for a more custom look. When I cut trees down(especially ones w good grain in them) I always cut about 6 wood disks(plaques 3/4"-1") to save down the road for antler mounting purposes. I leave the bark on stain/ seal them within a week or so the wood dont crack. Just a thought. I like the crab claw on the rack too!
Ohiobucks
Looks great, nice work! too_pointer
I think its very cool. I have one done like that on my hog I shot in Tenn. I didn't do it but it looks nice. I don't know why I never tried it on a deer, but after seeing yours I think I will if I ever shoot a buck again !! LOL. too_
