Tony
Had a nice doe come by tonight. I let her walk past me, then took a 22 yard quartering away shot. I smoked her and she only went 30 yards. Feels good to get back on track and filling my county doe tag. Now i can concentrate on filling my buck tag. dbHunterNY
Perfectly done! Congrats on the freezer meat. I still think shooting a doe is a confidence booster and takes the edge off a little. Enjoy the rest of the season!
Tony
Re: Shot a doe tonight Perfectly done! Congrats on the freezer meat. I still think shooting a doe is a confidence booster and takes the edge off a little. Enjoy the rest of the season! Definitely a confidence builder and a way to calm the shakey knees. Kind of funny after 36 years of bow hunting , i still get just as excited as i did that first time. Thanks guys and good luck to everyone this season

PotashRLS
I totally believe in an annual sacrificial doe too. It breaks the ice and re-establishes that edge you lose since the previous year. I too get excited with taking a doe. Heart pounds and breathing increases. Just plain fun. Way to get it done for the freezer.
