No Shave November...

I've been challenged by my students to participate in No Shave November.

I've agreed to not shave for the month of November if the student body and faculty can raise $100 per week.

:D

The proceeds of the fund raiser will be donated to a young lady in our school who was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, AND she broke her arm in a recent auto accident...AND her dad recently lost his job. I know I tend to whine about my situation a lot, but watching Amy bravely battle on is pretty humbling.

Got a link for donations?

You can make your check out to Buckeye Valley East Food Pantry and send it to me at the following address:

Chris Pileski

Buckeye Valley

East Food Pantry -

901 Coover Rd

Delaware, OH. 43015

The food pantry is associated with our school district, so they don't have their own website, but here's a link if you want to check it out:

Buckeye Valley East Elementary

Donations are greatly appreciated. The Food Pantry does have a tax exempt status, so it is a tax deductible donation in case you want to claim it.

Wow, no offense but not much to shave in that picture.

I am close to "trimming" mine as my wife is also complaining a quite a bit. I always have a beard but it is getting a little too bushy for her liking. And we all know that our wife's opinion is the one that matters. She even threatened to take a scissors to it when I am sleeping.

Hey now... :D

That was only 2 weeks worth. It looks decent now. It normally takes a month for it to come in totally, so tomorrow is the day, it's coming off, lol. It's driving me nuts.

We raised over $1,600.00. Unfortunately, our school is experiencing quite a wave of the flu. 126 kids out yesterday, 140 out today, and since it's Friday tomorrow, I'm guessing we'll have close to 200 out.

It was a lot of fun, and for a good cause, but I'll be glad when it's over.
