Day 2 ky buck down

HUNTINGMAN

Recommended Posts

I got out this morning after hunting all day yesterday with no deer sightings at all. I bumped a deer on the way in this morning in the dark,it never winded me. I found a spot I wanted to sit that offered a good view of the area, the longest shot I would have was prolly about 80 yards. I sat there for about an hour when I turn to look over my left shoulder and all I could see was a big white rack comeing up the hill behind me. He was on a steady pace running a scrape line that was about ten yards behind me. I got turned around and thought I had my phone recording but after the shot I found I acually turned off the recorder,I was bummed . He was about 40 yards away when he cleared a tree,I fired and the 130 grain ballistic silver tip put him down like he was hit by a Mack truck. When I was dressing him for the freezer this afternoon I found he had been shot before by what looked like a 50 cal muzzleloader bullet. He had a perfectly round hole in his right side and a place on his left side that it hadnt went through. It was an old wound that was low in the midsection,I can't beleive he wasn't gut shot. Here's a couple pics of him.BA6B8BFD-0597-4DF4-9469-4D9CEDEF8F25-6244-000009D573EA9D92.jpgC04D8B37-D6C0-41E5-B09F-BB3AB9089773-6244-000009D578E2967D.jpg
