AvonLKHunter
I am looking for the home made recipe for making a mineral site. I got it on here a few years back and misplaced it. I purchased everything at the local Landmark and it worked great. Thanks for any help. JIM

Leo
Two parts rock salt and one part FERTILIZER grade Dicalcium Phosphate. The feed grade Dical is not good for deer, it gives them indigestion. If you use the feed grade stuff they will typically avoid it after they hit it once. dbHunterNY
heard good things about trophy rocks from redmond mines.... i'd look at one of those and put the same stuff as what's in those. sorry can't use minerals here so that's the best i can do. Ravin R10 man
I just get a 2 to 1 Purina mineral and mix some granular molasses in..they hit it hard and it's not any work at all, other than putting it out. you really need to have it out after the rut until spring greenup to get max anlter growth, then check on it once a month during the summer
