Re: Texas bowhunt, I\'m leaving today!

Between Laredo and Freer, Texas on a private ranch. The group that I'm going with is the only group allowed to hunt the area each year (beyond the whitetail leases). They guy taking the group is my buddy that owns the local bow shop. He's been going down for 11 or 12 years.

Cost is $100 per day (includes lodging), $45 for the Texas license, gas, and food. There are no trophy fees or any other fees.

We can shoot as many hogs, bobcats, coyotes, jack rabbits, or anything else as we want. Only limit is 2 javelia (Texas limit). No whitetails of course. They claim that every year they come across a mountain lion or two also, but to date, no one has shot one on any of the trips.

Basically, the only things that could be walking around that we can not shoot are whitetails and turkeys.

You talking about the Callaghan ranch and/or the Texas shootout? Good luck and have fun, keep your eyes open for sheds although the ranch may not let you keep them.......
