WVdeerhunter
I have watched this buck from the time he started growing his horns hoping every day that he would walk in front of my 10 year old boy come gun season. Around here this buck is a moster to most people and about 5years ago i would have love to kill it, had im in bow range this year and could not shoot him because every time we seen him my boywould say he was going after him. I was tore up when we went sunday to put chairs in the shooting house and had pic off that morning(he was a evening deer) the was sad to see him that evening come through the yard cross the road and head right in a place its like a war zone, i didnt say a word to him about it because that would proby. be the last time we seen him alive. So this morning we go get in the stand me hoping there was another buck of any size to come through after a doe(we have alot of does and there early) so right after day light i told him looks like a slow morning no does even, 7:10 i look out the side window up a small field and see a deer coming, so i told him i see a deer thats a good sign and when i looked back it was him :jaw:i just told him get your gun ready buck, he never stopped till he was 10 yards and turned his butt to use(im tore up by now) i told him wait till hes turns and make sure the cross hairs is on his shoulder and when he turnd he smoked him. Im am so proud of him and if i never kill another deer i hope i have many more hunt with him and for the 1s that knows you will know why im saying this. Sorry for the grammer and stuff im on cloud9

fly
YES!!! Best story this year. Thanks for posting. Took my 10 year old out last weekend and after 3 days of hunting - not a deer seen. We had a blast though and it looks like I got me a new life-long hunting partner. Hope you do too.
