Jeramie
My wife cooks too good so I blame it on her. Seriously, she should open a restaurant. She is an incredible cook and has made me fat over the years.... My Cholesterol runs high naturally anyway but with the way we eat the last high reading I had was 287.Then I get to work and we eat like morons here... Someone had the great idea to try chocolate covered Vienna Sausage a few weeks ago... low and behold this morning the concoction was attempted. The verdict, its not as bad as you think.Yes... my blood looks like pudding.

OKstate
I dont know about the chocolate covered sausage, but having a wife that is a great cook is a good problem to have! I am fortunate to have the same problem. haha
dbHunterNY
unfortunately when it comes to food many of us don't believe in "quality over quantity". we get the first one and the second one seems to follow.
stevebeilgard
you can combine good eating with healthy eating. that high cholesterol is not good for longevity.

wtnhunt
Not sure about that, does not sound too good, but seems I have had chocolate on bacon and it was not bad. Going to be making some veni bacon here sometime this weekend. Good luck getting your cholesterol down Jeramie. Been taking fish oil for mine for years and guess it helps some. Cardiologist says my cholesterol problem really has nothing to do with what I eat, hereditary somehow.
PotashRLS
With all the things hidden in the new healthcare law, we will be paying a hefty price $ for our eating habits. I can't believe the chocolate covered sausage didn't originate in Wisconsin.

Cardiologist says my cholesterol problem really has nothing to do with what I eat, hereditary somehow. The idea sounded nasty to me too. However, it was better than I guessed. A large liver has a lot to do with it according to a GI specialist. Everyone on my dad's side has really high cholesterol. I got E-Coli a few years back and found out the hard way I had a large liver (after months of blood test and a liver biopsy). It hereditary. Even with medicine it will likely run higher than it should.
