Tim Andrus
My season recap as you know my season wasnt my best but as we all know Its hunting, not killing ,shooting etc.. some years they come easy others they dont. I sit back and look at my areas I hunted all great areas. Heres a recap for ya Sept-bowhunt in Manitoba -- weather was little warm, had 2 monsters on trail cams and thats basically where they stayed on trail cams lol never saw them in daylight. Sawa bunch of jv bucks just no varsity ones. came home empty Sept - Ks mzl hunt-- took my wife and daughter great time ffor summer vacation lol yea way to warm for this yankee same deal lotsa bucks all jv squad.. came home empty Oct - mzl hunt in Manitoba----luv it there btw well 6 inches of rain in 7 days sums it up pretty good last day, deer gods gaveme a great buck 10pt with drop tine pulled the shot thought i missed did hit alittle low but should have killed him quick 15 drops of blood then nothing followed 3 different trails for 2-300 yds Nothing after gage droppped me off at airport he went to look again and found him 250 yds farther on 1 trail go figure.... Anyway bittersweet great footage of deer coming in (10 min) impact but no recovery. we will make show with gage doing interview and showing skull mount of deer. Nov--Illinois bow hunt- one of my best hunts with out a kill lol hunted 4-1/2 days left and came back 4 days later for 3 more days had 48 bucks on video Awesome!!!! 3 shooters no shoots alot of rattling sequences having multiple bucks coming in. Nov- hunted home opening day my left calf has been sore for days anyway filled both doe tags and passed on a few jv bucks second day cant take pain in my leg no more head to ER and find out I have a blood clot in calf Isnt that nice anyway off my feet for 4 days anti biotics etc the following saturday feeling good leave for ohio for monday gun opener against my wifes and doctors wishes lol hunt a 11 hour straight sit for 1 sm buck leg pretty uncomfortable second day sit 1 hour and realise i should have listened and stayed home sooo packed up and came home with second blood clot now im listening to what they say dont want to end up in box 6 ft under. Thats what killed my father at 62 blood clot in calf except his was a deep vein mine are surface vein clots ugh oh well thanks for everyones well wishes on hunts my trusty posters Ben, Todd, Dan and Jeremy.... wishing all happy holidays gotta mend up here and start planning nexr years hunts... stevebeilgard
the bad hunting luck will take care of itself, but you need to take care of those clots. have the doctors even recommended taking an asperin a day?
