Another missed opportunity

If your temp is right, I would say 60 is never too warm, especially at this time of the year. Have not checked my cams lately, sure the batteries need swapped.

It's usually pretty close, but we hit the mid 70's Saturday and I wanted to watch the game like an idiot lol.

I always say take every advantage to hunt you can even in crappy weather, but it's hard to be motivated in high temps.

it's how it goes.... i've figured out that everyone gets a good one eventually. sometimes you've just got to accept it that the cards aren't in your favor. lol... heck out of all my uncles and father the biggest buck so far has been taken by the uncle that hunts the least and knows the least of hunting. at the time he shot it, he didn't even know deer make a noise when they bust you.

Another missed opportunity

It's weird I usually do not hunt when it gets too warm either. Funny enough my buck this year came on a 57 degree evening with a 20mph wind and 45 minutes before dark in a cut beam field. He's the first I've killed in what I call poor hunting conditions. Although I really can't blame him as the ladies got him in trouble.

It stays a little lighter the further south you go this time of year.

Legal sunset here is 4:41 pm today, we get 30 minutes after sunset as well but it will still be plenty light enough when legal shooting light ends to still see deer in a field if it is clear out. No telling how many shots I hear when I am back to the house 10-15 even 20 minutes after legal shooting light has ended.
