HUNTINGMAN
I finally got my letter from the state police in the mail saying I am clear to get my card. I am planning on picking it up Friday. I will be needing a new gun to pack and was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions for a easy packing pistol that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I am leaning to the berreta nano or the ruger lcr in 357 mag. Gonna go look this weekend and see what I can come up with.
redkneck
It's not exactly the same thing your looking at, but I really like the looks of the Arcus 98DAC. Great looking gun for a good price.
dbHunterNY
i'd think a Berreta Nano in 357mag would not be a good idea in my opinion. hard to control more fire power in such a small frame. by the time you get back on target after the first shot your target could be in your face. a 357 mag doesn't mean your first shot is going to stop the threat in it's tracks. you could have not a great hit or a miss. with that in mind, i'd lean toward the ruger lcr given the two options you said. then again i don't shoot hand guns... although i do pay attention to what people say about them. HUNTINGMAN
I picked up a ruger LC9 a couple days ago. Ran about 40 rounds through it and it shoots pretty good. It's got some trigger creep to it but shooting it enough and I'll get used to it I guess.
swohiodave
after putting a few hundred rounds in my glock 26 I feel very confident. It all depends on what you want in a gun. Semi-auto or a wheel gun? I HAVE NOT SHOT a ruger SP101 but have heard they lock up tight and have a little heft to them that takes the bite out of the 357 defensive rounds. I am waiting to check one out. Not to mention you can shoot 38 in it as well. With that being said I still love my G-26. I also just bought a new holster from Jason Winnie Leather Designs. Very nice holster for a reasonable prices.
