gzilla45
Sounds like its well over 20 now. I can't fathom what would go through your head to do something at all like this let alone to innocent children. Watching the news is making me want to vomit right now. Jeramie
They are now saying 27 confirmed dead mostly children. Appears they were targeting one's mother. I was literally at a Christmas program this morning with my 1st grader.. This really hits home. I'm boiling... Those poor, poor babies. stevebeilgard
it's now at 28 dead and 2 more expected. it's beyond me to see how a person can shoot a kindergarten kid... the good news is the killer is dead. i will continue, though, until we bring god back into our schools and culture. has anyone else noticed??? the kids video games are 100% killing people and bad guys? all our kids know is killing. so, i think what we are now seeing will not only get worse, but is the new normal. finally, i'll give 5 to one odds that this kid was never taken hunting by his father. gzilla45
Obviously the reports are still early but it sounds like he killed his dad at their NJ home and then went to this school where his mother taught kindergarten. He shot the principal and then went to her classroom where he shot her and 18 kids. What a terrible, terrible tragedy. I'm to the point where I can't read anymore about it without getting sick. The Bug House
what a horrible story It takes a special kind of Dumb to politicize something like this.
535hunter
A true tragedy, could not imagine that happening around here but this isn't about here. Prayers will be sent with out a doubt. When my wife told me i got an instant knot in my stomach. Kids didn't even have a chance to enjoy life . The saying everything happens for a reason doesn't fit with this. No reason in the universe can be used to justify anything like this. Makes me sick just thinking about it. wtnhunt
They are now saying 27 confirmed dead mostly children. Appears they were targeting one's mother. I was literally at a Christmas program this morning with my 1st grader.. This really hits home. I'm boiling... Those poor, poor babies. With 4 kids this really hits home here too Jeramie. Maybe it was just me but it seemed pretty somber atmosphere when I picked up my 1st grade daughter who is oblivious to what took place. Noticed flags at half staff by the time I got to the high school and middle schools this afternoon. Our older two daughters know what happened, need to talk with them about it. Unimagineable that anyone could do such to innocent babies, incredibly sad that such evil exists. It takes a special kind of Dumb to politicize something like this. Yes it does. Very insensitive to even think about going there on the very day just hours after this happened. Another time and place for debate on those issues, the focus now should be on those poor familes devastated by this horrific act.
woolybear
If this doesn't prove the devil does exist, I don't know what does. Just awefull to hear about. Thoughts and prayers to all impacted by this.
tedicast
I can't even begin to tell you all how bad this has affected me. I live 10 or 12 miles from where this happened, and work in the adjacent town. I have a friend who works for the Newtown school system, and the school where this happened is his assigned school. Thankfully he took today off. I can't even imagine how this has affected him! A guy I work with ...his neighbors 5 year old son was killed in the shooting. I have been going back and forth all day between totally pissed off and trying not to break down and cry. Another guy I work with summed it up pertfectly...it is obvious that some people definitely don't know GOD. LETMGROW
With all these responses, not one about, " MY GUN RIGHTS " I commend all of you! There will be time for this later. It is unfortunate the politicians don't have the same compassion for what the families are going through. My children are grown and I have several grandchildren. My heart bleeds for the parents and the families and friends of these children. This is totally uncomprehensible and senseless. I can't imagine how Christmas will be in these households. How do the parents cope with this? The gifts they already have bought and wrapped for the joyus day? I have to stop now. Lynn
Ravin R10 man
Truly a sad day for these familys..innocent lives taken by some sicko. These actions are the fallout of a Godless society. Since we took God out of the classroom, the country has slid downward since, kids are taught there is no right or wrong, it is relative, truth is what you believe it is. The problem people is Sin, Satin is extremely cunning and has many buying into his lies. When you have kids and their parent playing these STUPID shootem up games on the X box..where you score for the "kills" you make on hunting humans...expect more and larger bloodbaths! What are we teaching these kids?? 18 little lives snuffed out and lets not forget the MILLIONS that have been murdered by ABORTION! Please pray for these families..I cant imagine the heartbreak.....the Bible tells us these little ones are with the Lord, absent from the body, present with the Lord...that is the only comfort one can have about this tragic event. Hunt or be Hunted
Felt sick at work all day about this. People like to say its the guns fault. No its the person who pulled the trigger. How stupid can one be? Its Terrible when someone goes into a mall, or a grocery store, or even a high-school. But to go into a kindergarteners and open fire. A guy at my work, left and got this daughter outta kindergarten for the day as soon as he heard about this. Scary when you think about... it can happen anywhere... ruttinbuc
If this tragedy has not touched your heart there is something seriously wrong with your way of thinking. This is so sad at so many levels. The aftershock will be felt for a long time to come. I grieve for the innocent victims of this evil act. Griz
I am speechless and don't have the words to say. When I first heard about this a tear rolled down my face and sadness fell up on me and my family the rest of the day. I just can not imagine the horror that those little ones and teachers went threw. My heart and soul goes out to each and everyone one of them and all the family's. Prayers sent...

The_Kat
I'm a fairly hardened person when it comes to national tragedy. The batman shooting was sad news, but it didn't effect me personally. Other mass shootings have never been anything more to me than bad news, and I went on with my day. Call me cold, but I'm just being honest. When I heard this news yesterday it felt like someone punched me in the stomach. I have been down in the dumps all day and just can't get these awful images out of my head of those poor poor innocent babies lying in their classroom huddled together in fear and being shot to death. Then there is the teacher who saved her kids by hiding them.....the same age as Jennifer and I....shot to death. Jenn being a teacher, and Cash being in the same school.....it just hit me really hard that this could just have easily had been them. It hurts and I'm at a total loss of words. My heart is broken for the families, the school, the town, and our nation. I just don't understand. Been fighting the lump in my throat all day....call me a sissy, but it's just so sad. The Bug House
what a horrible story You're no sissy, you're a Dad who loves his kids and can relate. I see and touch a LOT of ugliness and human tragedy in my line of work and I feel the same way you do.

Hunt or be Hunted
The media is NOT helping this awful situation either. They blow it up so much. Yes ok the public needs to hear about it. Blah blah. But all you hear about is the shooter this the shooter that. What about the victims and family? They won't have kids around for Christmas this year. Toys already bought and everything. Bet people can and will remember the shooters name. But what about the little kids? No one hears about them. With this being blown up all over the nation saying " this is the 2nd Deadliest shooting in history." There will be some dumb @ss out there that's like "ha! Ill top that! " just wait for it guys. Im so sick and tired of the media.
