local bow shops will know of some. also check around for local rod and gun/sportman's clubs.

when you go bring your hunting bow and arrows. it's easier to have a hip quiver to hold your arrows.... you can get cheap ones for $11 that are simply a tube or more expensive ones like my Easton quiver with pockets and all kinds of stuff. as you start to care about score more it'll help if you bring binoculars with you to help see the rings. some have the chest slings but i let mine hang down by my side under my bow arm. any decent 8 or 10x by 40mm or more will work. also an arrow puller of some kind will come in handy. i've got one that's a square sheet of rubber (kind of like those jar openers) it's called the wax whacker.

in terms of shooting in one it's good to practice judging yardage a lot, just as much as you practice shooting. you're not allowed to use a rangefinder at most of your 3D shoots or leagues. when you shoot at a target that's quartering to or away it's different than shooting at one in real life. the vitals (scoring rings) are on the surface, so they shift when the target is angled.

don't get frustrated with a bad shot... treat the next one as a clean slate and having fun the whole time. 3d shoots are a blast and it's good to bring friends and make new ones.
