Outdoor shows

Are any of you annoyed by the "loud music editing" done today on most hunting shows? I have gotten to the point of switching channels now if any show throws that in, and even some of what I thought was the better ones are doing it.

Honestly the music doesn't annoy me anywhere as much as the guy sitting in a treestand and whispering to the camera about what just happened. Get real, you just fired a hi-powered rifle, killed a deer or whatever and you are whispering? With a full camera crew and staff who are you going to bother now? The animal is dead, it doesn't care.

These shows are great entertainment but as far as learning much from them I consider them just entertainment.

That is of course, unless you are looking for some new equipment. The stuff the guy just used is the best there is or ever was. Don't believe me, just listen to him whisper how great it is.

Crank up the music and I don't have to listen to the commercial. LOL

I did say I switch channels if you read the post

Not singling you out XT.

I just really think TV is eating the brains and morals and will out of the American people.

So I castigate it when ever, where ever I see a post complaining about the programming.

I have said it before and I'll say it again;

Kill your television. You and your family will be smarter, happier, more blessed without one.

Now, if I killed my TV I couldn't complain about anything as petty as whispering after a kill shot.

What fun would that be?

Ya know what gets to me.... hair and makeup!

I tell ya, when I come in from a hunt, it aint pretty. Face paint's running, I got hathead, snot running down my mustache, frozen eyebrows, rosey cheeks, can't move my fingers, soaked to the bone, out of breath...you name it!

It gets even worse after a sucessfull hunt. Oh sure, on TV it looks so glamorous when the hunter and his compadre each grab an antler of the ungutted deer and drag there buck 10 feet off into the sunet like they're taking a stroll down the beach together!

No tripping, or getting hung up on sapplings, wrestling deer out of ravines, sliding down hill on their backsides, sticks in the eyeballs,......LOL!

I guess some of us just weren't meant for TV! ;)

I get annoyed by the reaction of the hunters on tv. They say the dumbest stuff like "I smoked him" or some other saying. Seams like they have no respect for the animals they are hunting. There just in the woods for the all mighty dollar and not the enjoyment of Mother Nature and her creations.

Hardly watch them anymore to be honest Martin. I like seeing the deer some of these guys take and all, but kinda gotten old seeing the same old same old. We cut off the outdoor channel, seemed to be too redundant. I would rather watch a show where regular people hunt and kill deer that would make most people happy than watch some tv personality kill another 140+ class deer on a 1,000 + acre farm where someone else does all the work for them and only those with fat wallets have a chance.

Gotta also agree with Trevor on the "I made a great shot" or "I just smoked one", has gotten to be a real turn off on a lot of the shows when you can clearly see they made bad hits.

I rarely watch anything. It was much better in the old days back in the 80s when you went to buy a hunting video. Sure the editing and footage absolutely sucked, but there were no sponsors for the most part and it seemed like a lot more of an "honest" experience.

Watching folks pass on 4.5 y/o bucks as they keep pushing the envelope on a farm passed 140-150 inches to get them to the booner class does nothing for me either.
