Turkeygirl
Just got in from shooting my bow (outside in 20 degrees, brrrr). Been getting ready for 3D, shot great today. I have a new set of strings coming in as my servingwhere the loop is has been separating and also on the cams started separating. I'm wondering with a new set of strings, how is that going to affect my set-up? I'm shooting well now, indoor 3D starts next week, I shoot every other week, wanted to get my strings put on before anything else wears out on the current strings, but is there going to be alot of change with my set-up? too_pointer
Hello Ruth. I have a changed a few strings out, and always found them to stretch out some at first. Maybe with today new and improved ones, that may not be an issue. I would buy a pretty good one, seeing you don't replace them that often. too_
dbHunterNY
what strings are you looking at getting? Good strings won't stretch much. once put on you'll have to shoot the bow a little for things to settle and twist to where they'll be. depends on who's putting them on. if the brace height, axle-to-axle, came rotation/timing, string weight or silencers, nock height, and peep location are all very close to what you had them at before then there shouldn't be much change. there will be a little bit though. bowhunter97
It shouldnt effect it that much i dont think. Maybe a little off once the strings stretch out.
COEngineer
I had mine replaced by an experienced pro and I barely had to mess with the pins after letting it stretch for a few weeks.
