too_pointer
I know this has probably been asked before, but I can't find it. I have heard there is different ways to straighten vanes out that are bent or warped. It seems like it had to do with hot steam, or iron, or something like that. I have a few arrows that are perfectly fine except for the vanes, and I hope someone in here has the answer to fixing them. thanks too_pointer
Chrud
Re: Fixing bent or warped plastic vanes ? If they are really bad, I'd suggest getting them re-fletched. But, for a quick fix, try a hair dryer or lighter.

VTbowman
Re: Fixing bent or warped plastic vanes ? Dry or moist heat works. I used the stove burner but got one a bit melted. They go from bent and wrinkled to straight kinda slowly, then to melt real quick. So watch it closely. Little side note. Do one vane at a time and then let all 3 cool down before straightening the next one. Thats how I melt mine. Got one straight and just rolled the arrow to start on the 2nd one. The 1st started to melt but I caught it before it got to bad. Still flies nice. I hear steam works the best and is melt safe. Hair dryer is what most people use though...
