Strut10
I took an idle trailcam a few weeks back and put it on a prominent crossing log over my little creek. Was really hoping for a fisher pic. But I was pleasantly surprised to get this guy (gal?) working through.

Strut10
Mink? Yessir. Actually put the camera there in hopes of catching a pic of a fisher. But I got his little cousin this time.
wtnhunt
That is cool Don. Used to have some around here, river otters too, used to see a few from time to time in the water from one of my stands but not seen them in several years. Ethan Givan
Thats cool. I used to have a deer stand down on the edge of a creek behind the house, and I would occasionally see mink working their way up and down the creek banks while I was hunting. woolybear
Nice catch! Few years back one of my neighbors shot a buck that went unrecovered and died in the creekbottom across the road from me. Every day I passed by it, there was a mink litteraly inside the carcass pigging out on venison! He was so oblivious to the outside world, I finally got within 10ft of him and shot some video. Haven't seen him since the muskrats and beavers moved in. In the spring I've been seeing quite a few of them splattered on the roads around here. ruttinbuc
Very cool pic! They are trapped quite a bit here. I had the privilege of going with a well known trapper to check his lines last year. The first snare we checked had a nice mink in it

RTF
Don't be surprised to see a coyote or two crossing that log too.
