Thankful we have a little on hand, got a few mags for everything I own too, although I would not mind having a few more. No way I would pay these gougers prices though.

Not much available out there, seems like the manufacturers have shut down production of ammo. No .22 ammo at our wally world, a gentleman was looking to buy some while I was talking to the gun counter guy last week, he has had no .22 ammo in stock for nearly a month. Said he gets in maybe a few boxes of .22 and one box of .223 a week and it is gone immediately. Said pistol ammo is also hard to come by, cannot keep any 9mm in.

Cannot remember ever seeing the shelves so bare, still no core lokts for .270 even.

Not suckering into the ammo buyong mode...when they come in the middle of the night and break down your door...it will ALL be gone!...ammo, guns...GONE!...you will be lucky to get one shot off..if that, and then you are prob heding to jail if you do shoot, or have weapons that are not registered or have assualt (style) next 4 years will be the test

I am a little surprised to see so many people volunteering information about what they own on this forum. You guys know anyone on the internet can see these posts, right?

Yep, gotta be a little careful.

Thankfully this state has said that any feds trying to enforce any new gun control legislation will be deemed criminals. Only way it would ever happen would be to see UN troops here, would not suspect that taking place until after a voluntary period of people turning over their guns on a mass scale which also seems kind of unlikely.

Read somewhere that in this country there are over 100,000,000 gun owners, would venture to say where we are there is at least one gun in 95% of the homes around us. Would seem word would get out real quick if there were confiscations. That said any "special secret police" show up at our door, so long as they have a warrant they can come in and look around and take what they find.

This is a little off topic but If someone came to your house and demanded you hand over your weapons with or without a warrent would you? Honestly I dont really care about my weapons however its the point that they are taking rights away if such a thing were to happen, therefor in no way shape or form would I hand over any weapon that was purchased legally.. That being said If most people out there didnt put up a fight either a physical or legal fight then it would be easy for the goverment do such a thing. The 2nd amendment wasnt ment so we could have hunting weapons it was ment for a well armed militia the same type of militia that won our independence. We the people shouldnt fear the goverment taking our rights away the goverment should fear the people taking their power away.

Purely speculating here on a what if, you got to be smart about things. I don't honestly think there are enough un nato forces to come here and disarm the general public right now and think with the current state as people are scrambling to buy whatever they can it is only making the armed civilians in this country that much stronger and would be that much more difficult for any type of disarming. Sure there are plenty of hard core soldiers that would follow orders, but I don't believe our own military would be productive in the event that a mass collection of firearms was attempted, too many could not turn on their families especially at this day and age with the lack of respect for the idiot in chief. Hearing local law enforcement across the country on the record that they will not enforce any bans, would not expect many state and local law enforcement agencies to side with the federal gov't if it ever came to that.

Got to realize that word would be out well in advance before any made their way out here. Our drive is a 1/4 mile long, if I can see it I can hit it, but as far as allowing someone to collect what I have, like I said above they could take what they find if they were legit, not worth potentially having my children murdered.

we're still a little ways off from someone breaking down your door and taking ALL your guns. it's important to remember that you can't fight political power with forum complaints. make sure your representatives in senate and congressional seats know where you stand on the different gun control measures coming about. don't say you're against any of it. break it down a little and tell them you're against banning this and that for this reason even.

....you all seem to be in a different boat than here in NY. in a year mags larger than 10 rounds are useless and not able to be possessed here. many have all pre-'94 ban high cap mags and at most only have one 10 rounder that came with the rifle here in NY. 10 round mags bought before April 15th of this year would be grandfathered but are very hard to come by. can't load more than 7 rounds in them but at least you can still keep them. well i just found and bought three new 10 round AR poly mags tonight.
