Flyswadder
Hey guys, I'm curious as to what to do with the carcass of a yote after it's skinned. Leaving it in the woods isn't an attractive option 'cause of domestic animals running on public land (I don't know anybody with private land yet) and eating certainly is not an option for me, however if you wanna eat 'em let me know. You can have 'em all. :alien:
Ravin R10 man
Toss it out back where God's cleanup crew will take care of it. Got to be a back road where you can leave it..just get it out of sight. Take it back where you shot it?
COEngineer
Nature is the best recycler. If that really isn't an option, they fit pretty easily in a trash bag. I have thrown multiple deer carcasses in the trash (I even called the local meat market to make sure it wasn't illegal).
wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Buzzards get em here. Sometimes they get to them pretty quick.
Flyswadder
So I asked the Iowa DNR what to do with them. They said to bag it up and take it to the dump for disposal. Just FYI.
redkneck
So I asked the Iowa DNR what to do with them. They said to bag it up and take it to the dump for disposal. Just FYI. I'm sorry but that's just nasty! Lol. I suppose they have to say that or provide an alternative for folks without private land, but I'm sure the landfill guys appreciate not having sacks of varmints laying around decomposing and making things even more fragrant. Might as well be taking him to the street with you household garbage for pickup.

sureshot
my first 125 or so coyotes by xmas I was able to dump in acoulee at the inlaws, I would haul out once a week, last time I was there and dropped off 30 or so the last ones were all cleaned up, here I dropped a truckload in a farmers dead pile he has sht over 10 coyotes off feeding on it. mother nature taked care of itself, the coulee at the farm has over 1000 dead coyotes in it over the past 10 years and all we ever find is the odd skull or leg bone, they keep it clean, and never a stink in spring, all cleaned up!
