AJ
Re: Russian Ammo for .223 As long as you stick with a varmint bullet like a hollow point, and your gun shoots them accurately enough, they are fine. The latter part is why I would not use them. I demand 1/2 MOA, or better, on average for a varmint gun. This will allow you to connect regularly out to 300 yards or so, if the shooter can read the wind. I have not been able to get that with factory ammo. Check out Cabela's different bulk 223 ammo some of it is a good price. I understand you are on a tight budget, but don't just jump to the cheapest. It can cost you more in the end than premium ammo. Cruise up to the Owatonna, MN store and see what they have.
JimT
Re: Russian Ammo for .223 Just to add a little bit to this, some Russian ammo is corrosive,,,so be aware of that I would say.
too_pointer
Re: Russian Ammo for .223 I'm pretty sure that sureshot has tried the Wolf ammo before on varmints. You might shoot him a p.m. on how he liked it. too_pointer
