help for where to look

I've read countless times to search in the bedding and feeding areas to find sheds. Unfortunately i can not get access to the feeding areas near my land. So this leaves the bedding areas. Ive found all my sheds in the hardwoods near the feeding areas mostly along trails as i follow them. But judging by my trail camera i have A LOT of bucks on the property yet i dont find their sheds come spring. So i guess my question is how to find the bedding areas used by the bucks. I find a lot of groups of beds in the harwoods (assuming doe groups?) and never find sheds while thoroughly searching that area. All around the hardwoods is a thick wet swamp. Now im thinking the bucks must stay in that marsh to bed down and most likely their sheds will be in there as well. But how do you even go about searching that? Just walk the trails through the marsh grass? It is a big area and i just dont know how to attack it. The times i have walked through i came out empty handed. Any tips at all? thanks

Sounds a lot like the areas I have to shed hunt. I don't have a whole lot of farm fields or food sources to hike myself.

Sounds to me you're doing the best you can do with what you have available. I've never found much of anything in swamps around here besides dead deer, so I don't key on those types of features for sheds.

When I'm in the open timber, I'll do like you do and follow trails, but also pay attention to any thickets in there. Another hot spot around here is evergreens in the middle of mature woods. Basicly, any type of terrain edges, or edges created by a change in forest habitat and vegetation. The thicker the better seems to be what works best for me when I'm in the big woods.

Good luck. Seems I have to go to Wyoming to find any sheds, no problem finding them there. lol. I walk miles and miles here this time of year and never have found any. Seems like we have some good places to look with the uneven terrain along the river where deer go under and through fences and in the woods where there is thick stuff, but I still have never found a single shed here. Have found skulls and jawbones, have watched squirrels carry jawbones so figure they probably play a part in making it difficult to find shed antlers, probably does not help that things green up so quick in the spring here either.
