VTbrshbstr
Local cop gave me a real nice (110-120#) road kill doe the night before last! All the car did was break one of her hind legs so besides a little blood in one of the hind quarters and a bullet wound in the head there was no damage at all. Cut her up yesterday and combined with the meat in the freezer from the doe I shot in December it looks like I should be all set for venison well into this coming fall, definitely pumped about that! 535hunter
Good deal. Had one hit just up the road from. I waited a bit to long. Someone got it. Could see the drag marks in the snow. Ohwell. You might be lucky and keep getting them. As I recall from past years there is alot deer hit down between exit 3 and exit 1 on 91. RangerClay
Good for you. Hope it tastes ok. Venison this time of year when they are not eating sweet grass can have an off flavor.

VTbrshbstr
Did up the liver and some steaks the other night. the steaks did have kind of an interesting flavor that kind of figured was due to having nothing but hemlock browse to feed on for the past couple weeks. Not a horrible taste just a little different.
