LETMGROW
I attended a meeting last night where our local County Board passed a resolution to be sent to the governor protesting the new gun law and the way it was passed. I got a good ovation for my words of support for our legislator's actions. We keep gaining traction here. Lynn
Adjam5
Great news...this is like the 19th county I believe. I hope this effort picks up steam. Thanks for your effort Lynn. Our resolution was passed last night also in our county.

RangerClay
Erie & Wayne counties passed resolutions yesterday. So put 2 more on the list! That makes 25 counties passed so far! http://www.facebook.com/joseph.hulbert.9?ref=tn_tnmn#!/NYSafeResolutions Edited February 22, 2013 by RangerClay
COEngineer
It's good to know that you guys in NY aren't just rolling over and taking it...but, do county resolutions really do anything? I am guessing your only option for real progress is the next State election cycle...and even then you will continue to be overwhelmed by the NYC crowd. I guess the failsafe is the NRA and supporters getting these laws thrown out in court. Colorado is not too far behind you, so I wish you luck. dbHunterNY
a resolution puts the county on official record as being opposed to this stuff that passed. not sure it alone would get the SAFE Act repealed but it's still a good thing. How can a NY Senator or congressman justify or cover their butt on why they voted for this if every county within his/her district opposes it? also those for it can't make false blanket statements that NY as a whole is for the new laws without getting torn apart, because now so many counties are on record being opposed to it. at 25 out of 62 counties making resolutions we're now approaching half the state.
