Never too early!

Turkey season doesn't start till May 1st here....but I happened to run into a lady yesterday who I ask every spring to hunt a piece of property behind her house that I've chased a big gobbler around on the last couple springs. She said of course it wouldn't be a problem this year  So I'm ahead of the game this year, lol. Probably in the next couple weeks get a cam stuck out there to see what's around. One of her kids hunts it sometimes on the weekends but during the week, it's basically just me...maybe this year I can meet a gobbler face to face there. The section I hunt is a south facing slope of hardwoods and brush then there is a nice grassy field.Turkeys seem to like it there.

I also plan to do some more scouting on state land as well...would like to tag a bird this year!

Good luck to everyone! anyone else got their spots picked out?

Same three properties for me this year. Should be plenty of turkeys at all of them. Been seeing a group of 4 londbeards about once a week or so back here in our pasture behind the house.

I might have two new properties in the works for this year as well, not sure yet. One joins our farm and the other is a half mile up the road. If I could get those plus what I already have, I would have close to 1000 acres to chase turkeys on, which would be a dream come true.
