Adjam5
Prince Cuomo will never get it. Today was the rally in Albany for NYS gun owners and the media is down playing it like no ones business. Thousands showed up.

LETMGROW
I was talking to a resident from Herkimer County yesterday at the rally. He told me the state paid remington millions of dollars to move Bushmaster from the state of Maine to Ilion NY just last year. Now they are chancing losing an entire manufacturing facility affecting 1300 workers in a small town rich with history all because it was the original home of Remington Arms. I guess it doesn't matter to some of the people in control. I noticed the trash bins myself. I surmised this neatness was a spin off of good sportsmen and women respecting the land. Another side note: There was a little 11 year old girl who sang "God Bless America" The crowd was totally silent. When she was done she got thundering applause. My friend turned to look at me and I could see a tear in his eye. I was glad, as I had tears streaming down my cheeks. We both broke out laughing but the tears didn't stop right away. Irregardless of the outcome I can still say with pride "God Bless America". We still have a magnificent country. We just have some idiots trying to run it. Adjam5
For those of you were not in Albany the rally was a huge success. Do not believe what you may hear from the cherished, unbiased media. From a first person account the Capitol was full of people opposed to the SAFE act. I see reports of several thousand people. B.S. There were people all the way up the Capitol steps to the building past the lawn and to the building across the street and to the buildings on both sides of the Capitol lawn. Bus companies are estimating at least 7000 people came by buses. That does not include people who drove up like we did. Every parking lot in the Capitol vicinity was filled. At 9:30 we had to park eight or nine blocks away and tried three parking lots till we found a space on the roof of a 4 or 5 story parking lot. Cuomo tried to say that maybe 5000 people showed up, realistically I would guesstimate upwards of 15000 people. Politicians who spoke stated that they have never seen a crowd as big as this one. We must continue this fight do not let the media or the politicians bury this in some back page little article about a small number of disgruntled gun owners. Our voices were heard today let them continue to be heard!!!!
LETMGROW
Can you imagine what the turnout would have been if this rally was held on a weekend? Most of the populace interested has to work. The entitlement receivers wouldn't have been there anyway. I can't estimate the numbers of a crowd all that well. I don't really like crowds that well anyway. Now if we could get everyone of our friends and relatives to write a letter or E-mail or call their legislators just think what an impact that would make. We have to be vigilant in our fight. One rally won't make a big difference on it's own. It is just the beginning of a long process. Rally your troops and let's get the job done. Tell your legislators " If you dont vote for us, we won't vote for you! Take a look at your own families. Would you want to see them deprived of the freedoms we have enjoyed in the past? This isn't just for us, it is for them too. We need help! Lynn
RangerClay
What makes me laugh is the fact that they are allowing Hollywood to come..make movies that promote gun violence btw...and spend their Hollywood money here. When in fact NYers generate one heck of lot more money with our tax dollars from gun sports than Hollywood will ever spend here.

Supporting Hollywood gives you face time in the media. Supporting your subjects doesn't. Lynn
