Trevor
My wife and I decided it was time to bite the bullet and buy a new vehicle. It was a demo so we got a good deal on it. It had 10000 Kms on it but its still a new car to me. We have had it for about a month nice to drive.
Shaun_300
Nice ride! Those are great vehicles, we've haven't had very many problems with the 2011 and newer Equinox/Terrain. 2010's had oil consumption problems which lead to engine replacements with 2011 engines. (4 cylinders only). Is the a 4 or V6?
Adjam5
Congrats on the new vehicle Trevor. That Chevy should bring you years of use.

Ravin R10 man
what engine do you have and what is the gas milage like
Trevor
We have the 2.4 L fore cylinder. We haven't had on long drive yet but on the highway the computer says 37 mpg. I don't know how accurate that is. My wife drives it every day to work in the city and gets around 650 Kms on a tank that's 80 liters. Sorry I don't know the gallon conversion I'm a metric baby. Trevor
I just did some conversion and its around 400 miles on 18 gallon tank in the city.
Shaun_300
650km is 403 miles, 80 liters = 21.2 US gal, so 19mpg average running the tank completely dry, so the actual mpg would be better than 19.

OJR
We bought one in November of 2011. It was a new 2012 and we love it. We get 17 MPG all around. It has the V6. Great riding and handling vehicle. I believe it is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever owned for handling and riding.
Ravin R10 man
thanks ojr..I'd go with the 6 cyl. too...what Kim decides is up to her, as long as we stick with our local Chevy dealer..heated seats too?? Im sold!..lol Edited March 7, 2013 by Mathews XT Man
Trevor
I will agree with OJR they are very comfortable and handle really well. Handles great in the snow. Our model is a 1LT which has lots of great options. I really like the heated seats and remote start, really nice on a cold winter day. The backup camera is great to when backing out of a tight parking lot.
Shaun_300
Just realized that you had made the post with the conversions and MPG calculations, I must have been in the middle of posting that as you posted yours lol, sorry Trevor! lol. Just picked our rental up for our trip, they accidently rented the Impala we were supposed to get this afternoon so they gave us a 2013 GMC Terrain for the same price. It's the 4 cylinder AWD, I'm always one to check gas mileage so I'll report back on the numbers we get. It's about 3400km/2100 miles round trip plus whatever driving we do while we're down there.
