Guest thegoat273
I am looking for a 3d target. I will primarily use field tips with it. Do you have any suggestions? I am looking at the glendale buck, but open to other input on other targets. Please give me your suggestions and experiences.
fisherguy
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? We have Mckenzie targets of bear and deer and i have been very impressed. They have stood up well. Whatever one you do get, make sure to cover it up when not in use as the sun, and weather in general will speed up thier deterioration. magnatecsteve
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? Definately stay away from the cheaper Delta, Blueridge targets, they will not last anywhere close to as long as a Mc Kenzie or Rienhart. You get what you pay for. need2hunt
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? I just got a Glendale buck today (sorry chrud )... this thing looks awesome, can't wait to shoot some arrows into it!!!
TreeStandBowHunter
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? I'd have to say Rienharts. You get more shots out of them, I think anyway. The holes close up pretty good. Mckenzies start to peel after so many shots. JMO Mckenzies look alot better though
GWSmith
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? They say its better to shoot at live targets to practice your skills.... So i will give you whoever's cat thats under my house that likes to start howling in the middle of the night I say any of the targets on the market will do but the one you can afford is the best...you will probably use that one more than any other one...lol p.s. dont forget the cat's free!!!! NY911Bowhunter
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? I agree - for field tips - get the best you can afford. You obviously cannot go wrong with thte GlenDel buck though. I am sort of addicted to targets now. I cant stop buying them - I want a whole course in my yard! I have a big bag (!), 2 3D deer, a Black Hole, numerous huge styrofoam cubed with 1D animals on them, I plan to get a Morrell Yellow Jacket, a 3D Turkey, and possibly a Block Outfitter (the HUGE mamma jamma!) But.... I pretty much shoot alone! I need some closer buddies!
JimT
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? Get the best one you can for sure... Nothing is better than shooting 3-d. I am sooo looking forward to it. Need to wait for all this freaking snow to melt first though....
LifeNRA
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? [ QUOTE ] Glendell buck gets my vote [/ QUOTE ] I would say this too, because I have the Block target. That thing is great, since the Glendale buck has the same type of open layered foam. It should work the same! Thats what I plan on using!
VtBowhunter
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? If you're looking to spend the amount of money that you will on the Glendale buck, then you should go with a Rinehart target. We use them at our archery club and we've been shooting one of them (the first one we got) for 3 year and haven't had to replace the vitals yet. They are the best targets out there. Guest RJK
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? Has anyone heard anything, good or bad, about the Cabela's 3D targets? Thinking about getting a 3D turkey target and was wondering how long a good target should last.
EIGHTPOINT
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? I feel the Rienharts allow easier arrow removal.
too_pointer
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? Iv'e got a block target, and it's a bugger to pull arrows out of. It will probably last a long time though, just not much fun pulling arrows. too_
Guest TheDeerHunter
Re: 3d target.............any suggestions?? I highly recommend the glendel buck! It is an awesome target. I put mine out when I shot and put it in the the garage when I'm not. I've had it for 2 years and minus the shots in the foam layers it looks brand new. It has easy arrow removal and if you don't hit in the kill the body heals itself. And if you get one side all shot up just turn the layers to the other side.
