NY State has another bill?

You have to check this out. Linda Rosenthal from Manhattan introduced this bill. It would make it illegal for a child under twelve years old to even attend a gun show.

I tried to link it with no luck.

Go to NY State Assembly Webpage.

Bill # A06088

Yup, that's the one. It's no hoax. Unbelieveable but true. Think this isn't becoming a Nanny state? I will decide what is good and bad for my children, not some a..hole br..d in NY city. Sorry, but she is really over the top.

Meanwhile if she has cable TV her kids have access to things way more destructive than a gun show within their reach. How about CBS? "Art of the Kill" Killing is their game, humans are their target.

Forget it. CBS is based in NY City. We can't spank them! SIC

My grandson is 3 1/2 I've got a 10/22 in the gator..laying barrel down on the floor, butt on the seat.

He slides the butt over next to him, rather than let it sit against the rail on the far side of the seat.( Im watching like a hawk)

He says," I want it next to me", and he nevr touched it after that, when we got back to the shed and parked, he said to me.".we had a gun with, but we didnt shoot anything", while shaking his head with a negative gesture.

What did he learn? just because you have a gun along, it does NOT have to be shot or handled.

I'm glad I can start him early in life to respect fire arms, and teach him in no UNCERTAIN terms , he will not handle a gun without adult supervision.

Safety is already being set as aprimary foundation in his mind.

and these people are going to dictate to us when we can start our kids to be responsible?...one would think they should have a track record of doing so in government first right?

I remember taking my wife, son, daughter, grandson and grandaughter to a gun show about ten years ago. Kendra was about a year old and was in a stroller for a little while until Papa started buying books and ammo. My goodies ended up in the stroller while I carried kendra around the rest of the day.

Exposing kids to the real world is important to me. Can you imagine trying to teach a 16 year old how to drive if they had never ridden in a car before? Kids learn by how others act around them. Taking them out and teaching them how to shoot and respect firearms is a way of life around here. At an early age they are much more apt to learn before they hear things from their peers which may be detrimental.

I just get sick and tired of these so called legislators, movie stars and do gooders who want to reshape our world to their liking. To heck with them!

the liberals know that hunters are formed in the early years. this is just another gun control measure. they will keep on coming for years to come.

Excellent point Steve..quite true

and yes Lynn, good point also, kids learn from watching and being taught early in life.it blows me away to hear Breylen explain his point of veiw about things he sees at 3.5
