fly
Saturday we had mid-50's beautiful weather to rock climb. Today (sunday) we are supposed to get 8 inches of snow!
Ravin R10 man
I can see where that would be fun as long as you know what you are doing to be safe. but at this stage of the game...I'll let the Billy Goats lay claim to the rocks..I'll stick to my treestands..lol
redkneck
I'm jealous. We really don't have much for rocks in MS. However I do know you'd need a winch to get my fat out of shape butt up that rock lol. Lost fifteen pounds though, just fifteen more that need to go. fly
Rock Climbing Crazy weather! The snow started about 10 this morning. Over a 20 degree drop in about 16 hours.
stevebeilgard
i only climb rocks with a rifle over my shoulder and hopes for what's on the other side.
fly
Steve, one year I had to tie a rope to a deer I shot and lower it down a cliff. Then climb down myself to finish dragging it out. Yesterday we actually had Thunder Snow! It has been about 20 years since we had thunder snow. Really weird. We also had about a foot of snow yesterday. This is my back yard this morning - Hard to believe that Saturday I was rock climbing in spring temps.
MUDRUNNER
Great pics Fly! I love your rock climbing photos. That second one looks like a pretty tall climb. Saturday I took my daughter to the ball fields to work on some hitting and fielding. Today we have about 8" of snow here in Highland. I like it though.....reminds me of the snows we use to get when I was a kid.
fly
MUDRUNNER, if you live in Highland you're about 20 minutes from me. I climb at Upper Limits Rock climbing gym near Union Station in St Louis about once a week. It's a great work out and a lot of fun! If you would like to try it out send me a PM. I can get you in free if it's your first time. The first and second pictures are of the same wall - about 70 feet high. The third pic was only about 40 and the last was about 60 (it was a close-up). Been climbing a couple years now, and it still scares the stuffing out me every time! Makes you know you're alive!
MUDRUNNER
Thanks for the offer Fly! I may take you up on that once the schedule lightens up a little. I've never done anything like that...looks like fun.
