NS whitetail
When I was at the Nascar race in Vegas on the 10th, they said that that was going to be the last flyover at any sporting event, and I must say that those pilots did one heck of a job, they circled over head a few times, it was pretty cool. So what's up with the no more flyovers ? Heck that's part of Nascar.
Ravin R10 man
I suppose they blame that on the "sequester" too??
gzilla45
It is part of the fiscal mess our country is in. I'm sure it isn't cheap to do them but I think they should continue to do so if the event is willing to pay for it. I love sitting in a stadium and having the jet noise roar through and get the crowd crazy before a game.
COEngineer
I don't think the event organizers ever pay for them. It is advertising for the military and paid for with tax dollars. There aren't any extra tax dollars available, so the air shows have got to go.

LETMGROW
"There aren't any extra tax dollars available" Unless of course you are a radical muslim country like Egypt Another thing we are deprived from because..... If you haven't been in the stands of a sporting event, NASCAR comes to my mind, and seen the fly over in person you haven't felt the pride rush through your body as our colors are shown. I tear up everytime I witness this. This nation's sons and daughters are at the controls and we are seeing their performance. AWESOME! No better way to explain it. OJR
I was able to make arrangements for the Pearl Harbor Day Memorial a few years ago. We had two F-15's flyover. It was a great presentation and the it did not cost anything. The thing that is missing, the pilots have to train, so they could use this as training. They are in the air all the time. Just do a something a little different so the taxpayer can see them up close! It is a beautiful sight!
Burkef1
The government needs to stop spending. And NASCAR can afford to pay for flyover no one should be shaking their finger at anyone but NASCAR. Only money saving thing this presidency has done in 5 years. COEngineer
I really don't think NASCAR pays for flyovers. Who would they write the check to? The USAF does not accept private money, last time I checked.
dlriggins
I went to the Indy 500 a few years back and they had a veterans organization do the fly over in a B17. I have seen the jets and they are awesome but the old war bird was a sight to behold as well was talking to some of the vets who flew them.
