Old man winter is back at it...poking us in the back with his boney finger.."I'm baaaaack"!! yup another 8 to 10 inches today

Trees here are loaded with blooms. Dogwoods in full bloom too, supposed to get down in the 30 tomorrow night after this nasty crap rolls through late today. Guessing most of the trees will lose their flowers tonight if it gets as bad as the forecasters are suggesting.

we got 10 to 12 inches coming tonight into Tues....another winter storm warning!!...it's just getting here now, Duluth is getting it right now..amazing!..the winter that wont stop

Update..Duluth got 8 inches in 3 hours...we got about 8 so far and it's not done yet...all schools are closed and Im heading out with my gator to plow some..

crazy weather, deer think it's winter, and everybody is feeding them to help them out...sold out of deer corn Monday.

This month is now not just the snowiest April, but the snowiest month ever on record for the city of Duluth.

According to the National Weather Service, the Duluth airport received 8.2 inches of new snow Monday. That puts Duluth at 50.2 inches of snow for the month - making it, by a tenth of an inch, the snowiest month in Duluth's weather record books.

The previous record was 50.1 inches, set in November 1991.

Additional light snowfall was possible in Duluth this morning - heavier totals were expected in Northwestern Wisconsin. There's another chance for some light snow on Wednesday before a major warmup, into the 50s and 60s, by the end of the week.

Among other records set, added to or neared on Monday in Duluth:

Duluth's seasonal snowfall as of midnight stood at 128.8 inches, good for third on the city's list of snowiest winters. Second place is 131.8 inches, set in the winter of 1949-50. The record is 135.4 inches, set in 1995-96.

Duluth set a daily snowfall record for April 22, with 8.2 inches of accumulation. The previous record was 7.8 inches, set in 1972.

The city added to its record-breaking April snowfall. Its 50.2 inches is nearly 20 inches more than the previous record (31.6 inches, 1950).

Duluth has received 95.1 inches of snow since Feb. 1. That's now more than 25 inches above the city's previous record snowfall for that period - 68.5 inches in 1950.

The snow depth at the Duluth airport was 22 inches on Monday. The previous record for latest 20-inch snow depth was April 15 (1950 and 1975). The previous record for latest 12-inch snow depth was April 18, 1975.For perspective, Duluth's normal seasonal snowfall by this date is 84.7 inches, the Weather Service reported. During the winter of 2011-12, the seasonal snowfall was 49.1 inches.

Duluth's normal April snowfall through April 22 is just 5.9 inches.
