The Bug House
A local gun shop is having a contest on FB, and I thought it would be a great topic for a thread here as well. Post an inventory list / photo (or both) of your Every Day Carry and/or Bug Out Bag. I tend to keep "multi-use" approach to my carry items. For instance, I use a small tactical backpack for a B.O.B. I keep a sealed, water tight package containing an extensive first aid kit, tinder bundle, waterproof matches, lightsticks, small fishing kit, emergency sewing kits, small amount of candy, knockoff multi tool, duct tape, several feet of para cord, about 50' of bailing twine, whistle, small compass, flashlight, and some other small survival items. I also use it for an emergency kit when I go into the woods, especially for any length of time. Also in the bag I keep: a hat and gloves a headlamp chapstick a 4" folding knife pencil/small notebook bottle of Ibuprophen CPR mask examination gloves trauma shears a camera chargers for my electronics 12V to 100W inverter small water bottle I'm probably forgetting something.. Believe it or not, all these items fit compactly into the small backpack. I have carried this with me every single day for the past 6 years or so. I also have enough room to use the pack to carry my folded uniform into work, so it comes with me. It's convenient to grab for a day outing as well. On my belt / in my pockets I carry: Leatherman 3" gravity knife w/serrated blade 9mm Baretta 1 spare mag for a total of 25 rounds iPOD small cellphone Wallet Keys I try to be equally prepared for an unexpected car breakdown as I am for a severe weather related event while away from home, or even worse. What do you guys carry? Edited April 15, 2013 by The Bug House

Dawg
I never have given much thought to a B.O.B......but here recently I've been pondering the idea. I've got a couple extra packs so I might throw one together. An elderly friend of mine told me many years ago to always have an extra pair of socks in my truck. I understand why now. redkneck
Let's face it, if I ever have to "bug out" of Pachuta, MS pretty much the whole country is going to be in some deep #### As for EDC, I really don't, but always have at least one gun in the truck. Somebody is probably going to burn me one day, but I still don't lock the house or the truck.

wtnhunt
No bug out bag here. Don't have a ccp. If the crap hits the fan, we havesomewhat of a plan, and the means to carry out the plan.
Jeramie
Not a bad idea but probably not nearly as important in the Midwest. Okieland has a bunch of rednecks so if it does hit the fan this is where I want to be! If I can make it out of Tulsa and head back toward the house I will have a long list of help on the way out. Tulsa is the largest city in the area. 10 miles out and youre in real country so all you really have to worry about is the heavily populated areas... As stated above too, if Oklahoma has major problems then the country is looking at a major war as it its....
