Jeramie
Welcome to Oklahoma. With the drought we have had for the past few years it hasn’t been too bad but this year is back to normal. We had powerful storms roll through last night. We ended up in the cellar at 12:45. We had a little damage as did our neighbors. It could have been worse. The twisters started touching down south of Tulsa, did quite a bit of damage, lifted, came back down later, lifted over the house, and then touched down again NE of us. No injuries have been reported but some homes are a total loss, train derailed, etc. This is our first real storm of the year and we are just gearing up. Now we are dealing with massive flooding. We probably got around 5" of rain overnight through the early hours of this morning.. ....Spring time in Oklahoma.... wtnhunt
Glad you are all safe Jeramie and no injuries, hope that holds. Left behind a real mess, prayers for those affected. Waaaay too warm and humid here this morning. What you all saw is supposed to get here later today(worst part will be here after dark). Forecasters have changed our area from slight risk to moderate risk with potential for large hail, damaging winds, and likely to produce tornadoes. Hate when these storms get here after dark, too many blow up after they cross the river, hopefully it will cool down some before that line gets here. wtnhunt
Keep your head down! From the way this looks there is probably a pretty good chance we will end up in the basement for a little while this evening. We are in the mid 80's right now, about the only bright side is that it is overcast so it does not seem to be warming much more. MUDRUNNER
It's a nasty one. It came through here this morning, but luckily the winds and rotation have slowed down before it got to us. We've gotten about 2" of rain in the last 4 hours, and have a little ways to go before it moves out of the area.
Ravin R10 man
Guess I'll be happy with the snow...just plowed thw drive open..12 to 15 inches..tough going with 6 inches of slush at the bottom and ground not frozen...now it's back to blizzard conditions...stuck inside all day it seems Edited April 19, 2013 by Mathews XT Man
ckrich
We were down in the cellar at 1145 with the rotation going right over the house. Luckily for us, it waited til it hit Broken Arrow before it really got wound up. Woke up to about 3" of standing water in half of the yard. Flooding....now there's something we haven't had to deal with in a few years. Glad to hear you guys made it safe.
wtnhunt
Fortunately just wind, heavy rain, and a little hail here last night. What a difference a day makes though, a 40 degree temp difference from this time yesterday.

Shaun_300
That storm hit us over the weekend. Friday it was 75 degrees here, by mid afternoon into the evening you could feel the temps dropping, an F1 tornado touched down in Shelburne, ON (1 hour north of Toronto). Saturday morning when I woke up it was 27 degrees with 30mph winds and blowing snow!
OKstate
We got pretty lucky that all the tornadic stuff was NE of us, but we did get 3-4 inches of rain over the past week and had freezing rain that did a little damage to the trees in OKC. Definitely shaping up to be an interesting spring with record lows being recorded in late april!!
