Bruins win 1-0 and sweep the Pens !!!!

unreal I would have never bet on that in a million years.....Boston got in their heads early on and never looked back.....right now its looking like a boston vs Hawks cup.....that should be some good hockey to watch.

Unbelievable..........................

Crosby a -3 (+26 regular season), Malkin a -2 (+5 regular season) and Neal a -3 (+5 regular season) combine for 125 points and 45 goals in a shortened regular season then combine for a goose egg in this series !! What the .............. ???????????????????????????

It's certainly good for Boston and Boston fans that Pittsburgh went comatose and never made them earn the conference title. But I'm guessing Dan Bylsma is not going to be getting too much sleep any time soon. I think he's history. GM Ray Shero might not be too far behind.

That's absolutely what I'm saying.

4 games against the equivalent of a drunken ECHL team ................... the B's got a free ride on this round.

We'll take it .. lol

How's that saying go ,, It's better to be lucky than good ,, sometimes ... :)

OH and I forgot to mention Tukka called and said he was sorry, but it's just the way things are .. :)

Sure the B's fans will take it !! That's the way it goes and it sucks to be a Pens fan right now. To sit and watch a team with more talent than ANY other DOMINATE all regular season long then go to the playoffs and CHOKE against bottom-feeders and teams they absolutely destroyed during the regular season ..................... FOUR YEARS IN A ROW ?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking the 2013-2014 Pens are not going to look ANYTHING like the 2012-2013 Penguins as far as roster and coaching goes.

Unless Mario is only in it to play to sell out crowds and make money (which I DO NOT think is the case)........................ there's gonna be some heads roll at the top and some stars on the auction block.

Now Don that was harsh to call any team that made the playoff a bottom feeding team... If you go back and look as to where the Bruins finished in the East ,, they were right there with the Pens, so to call them bottom feeders is quite undo to them and any other team that made the playoffs wouldn't you agree ??

In my opinion any team can be beat at any given time, that's why they play the games ,, and the Pens just didn't live up their or anyone else's expectations, they had the talent and didn't use it,,, the Bruins had the drive and used it to their total advantage and should be given their just dues for that effort.

If you go back and read my predictions before the playoffs, even I stated that the Pens were winning the cup ,,, but they beat themselves out of that honor and were almost beat by the Islanders and then were beat by a good team in the Bruins that had more determination and drive ... ;)

So to call playoff teams that placed behind the Pens in the standings bottom feeders is just harsh in my opinion. Especially when the Bruins could have beat the Pens in any of those regular season games they played, in NO way were those games blow outs they were all close games that either of those teams could have won ,, it just so happened it was the Pens.

On to the CUP ROUNDS and good luck to both teams ,,, especially my Bruins, this should be some great hockey ... :)

You are absolutely right. "They beat themselves"............................ again. No other way to put it.

In a BIG way I blame Bylsma. His abject refusal to change a system that was not working is unexcusable. The Pens' entry into Boston's zone was weak and needed tweeking. Status quo. He should have been changing the structure of the Pens' powerplay by the 2nd period of Game 1. But, no. Same thing throughout the series and 0 for 15 to show for it.

What do they call that when you do the same thing over and over expecting a different result ??

I call it catastrophic failure ,,, but that's just me.

And it's also my opinion that on paper the Pens have the BEST Team in the NHL ,, also with that being said, they remind me of the past Flyers team when the Legion of Doom existed, just too much big name talent that wouldn't produce when expected and surely wouldn't take the blame for their short comings ,,, ;)

I haven't been able to watch the series because of work (dumb 2nd shift) but judging from the highlights it seemed like the B's just outworked the Pens. I think I saw somebody on facebook said "hard works beats talent any day" and I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I kind of skimmed the previous posts but Don's right, how the heck can that line-up have put up goose eggs the entire series? Super bummed but what can ya do? Will definitely be curious to see what happens during the off season. Time will tell, but I'll still be a fan.

But the B's and the Blackhawks in the Cup final. SHOULD be a good series!
