Here is how I see it....If Boston can play hard and get Sid off his game plus lets see what happens in the Pens net....(I think The Sens got alot of bad bounces on rebounds) I can see Boston taking it.

however

If the talent that the Pens have can skate around the hits and keep their heads in the game with good goaltending they should take it.

Rask is gonna have his work cut out for him !! He ain't gonna be minding net against the Rangers this time around. The Rangers lack of meaningful offense made Rask look waaaaaay better than what he really is.

OH Geeze PLEASE .... lol

I'm not making any predictions on this round ,,, but I will go as far to say if the Bruins play thier brand of hockey, the Penns will need abit of medical attention at the end of each game ,,, of course this will only come in play if the refs don't protect to so called big names .. ;) ,, just sayin'

The Pens can play that "brand" of hockey if need be. :boxing:

We'll see what this Boston Redsox of a hockey team (Penns) can do with the depth of the Bruins ,, and don't under estimate the talent of Rask ... ;)

See Ya on the ice Saturday ... This round should and can be exceptional hockey if the zebra stripes let it happen :)

Yep. Pens played their own brand of playoff offensive funk. Never really got their game going and Boston handed them their butts.

Interesting to see, though, exactly what gets Matt Cooke a 5 minute major and a game misconduct (and he SHOULD NOT have made that hit) gets Brad Marchand a 2 minute minor. Typical NHL "officiating". A joke.

I'll try and play devils advacate here, being a Bruins fan and all. Here's what I see in the differences in the calls between Cooke and Marchand.

Cooke went into the end boards with no intent on playing the puck and that was clear, he never pulled up on the hit in which he had plenty of time in doing so, he also has a long history of this type of questionable hitting, he's just lucky there wasn't an injury involved.

The difference I see in Marchands call is that it was more of a shove from and angle along the boards and was done 3-5 feet from the boards not 1-2 ft at full speed like Cookes. I do agree that it should have been a 5 min.call not the 2 min. but no game misconduct was the right call, again just my opinion.

And let me add this ,, if CRYBABY Crosby is going to call out the biggest guy on the ice, atleast drop the gloves and go, not cower and wait for reinforcements like he always seems to do, and what was up with the jab at Rask ?? Really, what a crybaby.

OK, on to game 2 ... :)

Yeah. The whole scrum thing at the end of the 2nd was pretty lame. Crosby's gonna have to watch his back near the half-wall now.

Was briefly entertaining to watch Geno and Bergereon go gloves-down. REALLY brief. But we don't get to see Malkin scrap to often. He IS multi-talented.

See what adjustments are made for game 2. Bylsma needs to pin some ears back after that pathetic showing.

I too thought this was amussing ... I went ,, what the heck ,, get real you two ... lol

Mlakin is definately multi talented no question ,, but fighting for either one of those two is a waste of time .. :)

No suspension for Cooke, I'm good with that call ... we'll see what happens in game 2.

NHL Playoffs

I'm not a huge hockey fan but I didn't like what I saw from Crosby at the intermission. I really would have loved to see chara lay him out, but my guess is that guys are a little fearful given his previous "headaches". He reminds me of the kid that does something stupid to the bigger kid and then runs to the teach for help.....
