Jeramie
Great, great weather here for the first time in 3-years. The past 3-years we have had extensive drought. Hay was $85 - $100 for a 1000 - 1200lb round bale. People were THRILLED to find it at all. I tried the farmer's market for 3-years and was on the board representing the growers. We planted anywhere from 1200 - 1400 plants on average and had only one year that anything really grew. It was a bad year too. Over 300 tomato plants and we probably had about 100lbs of mixed tomato. This year we have had more than the average of rainfall. It is currently 75 and cloudy but we have had average weather of 85 which is really good for this time of year. Plants are growing like crazy. We have in 40 tomato, squash, peppers, cucumbers, etc. Everything is doing really, really well. Amish have harvested the winter wheat around us and everyone is working on hay. Many of the fields were cut weeks ago.... It took three years for us to get back here but things are finally working for us again.

wtnhunt
Most corn around here is over a foot tall now, might make for interesting bowseason if the corn comes out when it should. Pretty high winds here Thursday night along with very heavy rains, no damage that I know of on our property. Forecast is calling for a flash flood warning here today. Got room for one more row of something in our garden. As of yesterday everything we have planted is up.
Turkeygirl
Got some rain last night which will help our gardens and my mini-food plots. Alfalfa started getting shopped late this past week on my road. Corn fields around here the corn is only a couple inches high. Apple trees on our property look loaded!
