Until next year

It was a tough year here too. Seemed like the birds were really just starting to get hot when the season ended. Never heard a lot of gobbling, and gobblers were henned up the whole season. I got my cousin his 2nd bird ever, and I helped dad get his 2 birds, but I ended up eating tag soup. Didn't get out a whole lot though. Maybe next year.

Nice clip Mike. Sounds like you had some of my kind of luck.

Things here were just plain lousy this year. I listened many mornings from our back porch before our season opened. Birds were real vocal before season opened up, not so hot after season got going. The new property owners behind us walked through on us on the opening morning about an hour or so into legal shooting light while I was sitting with hopes the bird I knew was roosted back up the ridge from me would come in. I only really got out once more after that only to have birds on the other side of our neighbor from where I set up.

Thanks, William. This was one of the toughest years in memory for me. I had some neighbor issues this year myself. To be honest I didn't get after it like I usually do because of some other things going on. I did have some opportunities with a few jakes, but gave them a pass. It was fun calling them in. Wish I would of got a couple of those characters on video. Kinda of tough running and gunning with a camera by myself.

Hopefully, you can make up for it next year, hoosier. Seems the bird were all out of tune this year. It was the same with the gobbling here. Very quiet to say the least.
