Ravin R10 man
Has anyone had any experience wearing these? Does it really work like it says? http://www.hecsllc.com/testimonials.html
wtnhunt
They sure seem to think so in the advertisements and on the show promoting it. Kinda wonder how effective they could be as well. Too expensive for me to try out.
RangerClay
I've never heard of this stuff till you mentioned it. I'm a bit skeptical. This is the way I see it. You can drop $150 for a suit of this stuff (which doesn't come in Realtree). Or you can drop that $150 on a really nice ground blind that you know will work and can be shared with others. For me the choice is easy.
COEngineer
skeptic A Faraday cage for hunting, huh? Count me as a skeptic. Sounds like snake oil, pun intended. Sharks are one example of animals that can detect small changes in the electric field caused by other animals muscle movement, but they live in salt water (very conductive). HowStuffWorks "What is electroreception, and how do sharks use it?" Air does not conduct electricity very well. The only other radiation (besides very small amounts of radioactive decay Radiation from humans) is thermal radiation, or infrared. Only snakes, I think, can see IR: Night Vision in Animals | dmohankumar.com. JMO
Rhino
I had to wonder watching some of their promo videos...how much of an electric field is put off by the video camera? I'll be a skeptic on this one too until someone loans me one to test on my own for free. Size XL please!
Tominator
Pure gimmick. Throw it in with the Ozone crap.
dbHunterNY
Get your HECS rain gear with Faraday cage now. Disclaimer: Use in stormy conditions could increase your chance of becoming fried chicken.
wtnhunt
how much of an electric field is put off by the video camera? Good point there Al. Been a few times I know my camera had given me away, figured it was the glare though.
