Got all my plots planted at the land, cleared some trees and got my hunting buddies sister her first big game animal and found time for me to get a turkey or two.....

View of the finger. Have a mix of hardy stuff in the long finger area. Turnip mix in the area closest to the woodline. Clover in some areas and the top field Power Plant. Soybeans, peas, sunflower, etc...

Bottom of the field looking to the top, the finger in the above picture is off to the right of this one.

Good stuff. I'm going to look into building a pit like that. Cool idea.

I have about 50 bucks into it.

Pretty cheap if you can find the grating for free like I did.

the only thing I am going to change is that I am going to dig a hole right on the inside of the lower block that I pull out to shovel in more coals. Im going to dig 12" down and dump the coals in there. That way they wont spread out once I flip the shovel over. Have two butts to do this weekend, so I will see how it works.

What's the dimensions on it?

Also, hello Will and Kyle, I know you two have looked here. Hope all is well.

Will is on Facebook quite a bit, far as I can tell he is doing good. It'd be nice to have him back on here but.....

Not sure about Kyle, last I know of he moved off to Colorado....Denver area I want to say but don't hold me to that. He had to redo his Facebook account so I don't see his posts anymore.

Well fed. The pump is right in front of my truck in the picture. It's within reach of a hose and gets filled and cleaned every two weeks. By far the one thing that has increased deer activity over anything else we have done on the property. Apparently we dont have a lot of water around, which seems a little odd for people when they see the pictures.

Well...I was 1st to reply and I've come back at least 10 times to check back in too. So...guilty Ben! ;)

Pulled the first beet out of the garden this weekend, since you were the first you get it!

I hate those dang things, just curious if I could grow them. Success!

Also, hate tomatoes but they are growing. I was nervous that I wasnt going to get any growing. I didnt have a single one Saturday. Sunday morning I woke up and there are 28 little guys growing. You get those too!

Good Lord, who in the heck is looking at all these threads. The most views ever and the least replys ever.....seems to be the trend here lately.

Need a tissue?

I've got two tomato plants and two jalepeno plants growing in buckets on the porch. That's the extent of my gardening this year.
