wtnhunt
To you too Tim and everyone else. Planning on shooting some exploding targets here rather than the usual fireworks, weather permitting. Never tried these things before, should be a blast.
dbHunterNY
you too Tim... try not to hunker down inside and stare at those Hickory Creek Lodge trail cam pictures too much.

William you'll have a blast. we were mixing and shooting some this past fall. a 40oz peanut butter jar full pretty much would decimate the piece of unsplit oak fire wood it was sitting on. Surprised you are allowed to even use/have them in NY. These were the 1/2 lb tannerite targets about the size of a coke can, dunno how they compare with other brands? They were ok, lots of smoke and a big boom. Sure 1 or 2 lb targets would have been a bit more of a blast, cabelas sells a different brand in bigger sizes these we bought were the only size our rural king store had. Our almost 12 year old connected on her first try at 100 yards with the rock river, wish I had taken some video.
dbHunterNY
yea we can get it here. we got ours from a cop that knew a distributor, so we got a bulk bag of the white beads and packets of powder to mix it our selves so it was cheaper. yea I took video but not sure I still have it. not sure what brand it was. it wasn't tannerite... possibly shockwave. haven't shot other brands to compare either.
