Zizzer59
Just read an article about the Missouri Conservation Dept. will be issuing 30 to 40 permits a year to hunt elk as soon as the herd doubles( we're a little over a hundred right now) The best part is I only live about 45 minutes away from Peck Ranch which is where they are located. The dept. says it will probably be 2015 before any permits are sold. I can't wait!

Ravin R10 man
Wis herd started way before Mo. and with the bears/ wolves killing them, we cant even get them to hold their own from what was dropped...pretty expensive wolf food... Zizzer59
Elk hunting in MO! As far as I know there will be NR permits but with a limited number permits it would be a very small chance of anyone in state or out of state to get drawn. Yeah we're lucky here in MO not to have many predators aside from the occasional mountain lion, and yeah that is expensive wolf food!
