hoosierhunter
Today we burned a few areas for food plots this fall. It's the first time I've burned and it was pretty fun. We sprayed about 4 weeks ago to kill it and then waited for the rain to cease for a few days. The burns went perfect and died right out against the green vegetation as planned. We also had the 32 gallon sprayer ready but it wasn't needed. These two plots will be big n beasty and planted around August 15rh.
Ravin R10 man
good deal Pat.... I always start my backburn first, then work around the perimeters into the wind..when that is established I go light up the wind side, and listen to the mice squeal and pop
wtnhunt
Cool it went as planned. Have burned off areas for plots several times here and usually does not go quite exactly as planned, but never had one get completely away from me. lol. abrown
I've done a little. When I was doing an intern for The Nature Conservancy, we burned ALOT, spring, summer, winter burns. Pretty cool to see green grass in the middle of January with snow on it!
