Coach J
I've looked through chasinggame.com but am still a little undecided as to which camera to get. I'd like to keep the price tag at or under $150. Any suggestions?
wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. User name sounds familiar. Lots of good options these days in that price range. Still running homebrews here. Have heard moultrie has come a long ways.
Coach J
Thank you! I'm a teacher/coach near Dallas, TX. I was actually leaning towards moultrie.
whitetailfreak55
Welcome! I like moultrie cameras myself. They make a good camera for the price
smha6784
Game cameras I run wildgame innovation cameras, price range varies from around $60-$200 the ones I use are the Red 6 and micro red 6. IMO image quality is good for the price I picked them up for under $70 on eBay I am currently running 5 of them. I have some good videos on them as well. MNhunterr
I just got a cheap Wildgame Innovations 4MP Micro Digital Game Scouting Camera on sale at Fleet Farm for $79.
Coach J
Do most of these give off a flash at night?
smha6784
Game cameras All of mine have infrared. So it just glows red for a second.
smha6784
Game cameras It's not a bright red glow like you would think. I actually thought something was wrong with the first one I bought. There was no way that dim red glow could illuminate a pic at 65'. But it does
SouthGaHuntingandOutdoors
Thinking of switching brands, got two Wildgame Innovations cams, both went down recently.

Bowmadness2186
if you are looking for something that doesnt give off a red flash check into the moultrie M80 black. great camera. they run around $200 which i know is a little more then the $150 you stated but deff worth the money. Also if you shop around online you can find them cheaper.
smha6784
Game cameras Did you try and call their customer service line ? Just wondering, cause years and years ago I had a wild view camera go down on me. I called asked for help and moaned and growned a little and they sent me a new updated version of what I had for free.
snapper
I too had a wildgame crap the bed! Done, with them...don't care about customer service, I want a cam that I don't have to call about! With that said...I have a cheapo wildview in the yard that's been there for years (all year long) still works. My moultree got stolen...took goods pics, but didn't have it long enough to give feedback! My next purchase I think, is a spy point tiny w3! Pzk8790
I was fixing to ask the same question about game cameras. I heard moultrie was a great camera but are they self explanatory or at least come with instructions for the backwoods kind of guy
SouthGaHuntingandOutdoors
I haven't had the time to get a hold of Wildgame's cust. service yet. Like swhughes81 stated, Bass Pro has the hunting classic sale next week, I think I'm just gonna go with new cameras all together. I might tinker with them when I get some free time to see what's wrong with them.
msman825
for as cheap, I would use the stealths cameras
Frosty
I've been using Moultrie cams for a few years, never had a problem with them. The A5 is pretty affordable with good picture quality. Edited August 2, 2013 by Frosty
Strut10
If you can find any Cuddeback Capture re-furbs I would go there. They take great photos and you have to spend over $500 to get a trigger speed comparable or faster. That being said, I will not be buying any of Cuddebacks newer models. Too many friends that have them and HATE them. inhuntr
Bought a primos truth cam an love it!! GREAT CHOICE!!
jesse8953
Had a cuddyback with flash, it worked great till it go stolen last year. My $70 wildgame innovation work good so far [on my 3rd year] and got a new primos blackout but haven't put it out yet.
Rish
It pisses me off beyond belief when people steal trail cams.. most likely they're trespassers first and thieves second. Bastards. Anyway - I've been looking at the Moultrie low glow 8mp one... it's $140 or so.
FireStation46
I found any brand I tried in the under $250 category usually died in very few years if not a year. I never went for the Reconyx which has some stellar ratings. So, in the lower end price point my Moultrie trail cameras seem to work well for me.
