Scbasshunter
Does anybody have any experience with the Trophy Ridge pursuit or the Trophy Ridge react sight? Looking at possibly getting one of the two.
dbHunterNY
I've only heard the new react sight is good. No real experience with them. sounds like you haven't decided if you're going with a single pin or multiple pin sight.
Scbasshunter
Trophy ridge sights. I don't know that I trust a pendulum sight. It sounds like a great idea since I'm not good at judging distances.
Scbasshunter
Trophy ridge sights. My 20 and 30 yd pins are close enough that they would both be on the deer at the same time. My 20 yd pin is good from 20 down to at least 10 I know. I just like the idea that I can sight it in at 20 at home and not have to worry about judging distances to the deer while in the stand. I've just always heard that they either don't work or are loud.
whitetailfreak55
My advice would be too take your rangefinder out to your treestands before the season opens and mark your yardages with flagging or whatever you wanna use. Thats what I do. Its quick and you'll know your yardages
hoosierhunter
Trophy ridge sights. If your bad with distances like me then you need to make sure you range prior to hunting and really know the area around your stand. I still range every animal multiple times though. Scbasshunter
Trophy ridge sights. Only problem is I don't have a rangefinder.
hoosierhunter
Trophy ridge sights. That would be the most important thing for you to buy over anything else.
Rhino
That would be the most important thing for you to buy over anything else. I'll 2nd that!!! I don't like pendulum sights at all. One of my older buddies uses one shooting a Martin bow pulling 50#. He's used one for as long as I've known him on other bows. They are not fool proof. When he's sighted in at 20, he's not dead on at 30 like they want you to think you'll be. He has to adjust his aim for 30. He won't even consider shooting targets beyond 30, much less a deer. It's useless hunting a ground blind so he never hunts them. That takes an option away from you that can come in handy. I don't range & mark distances with flagging or whatever ahead of time like some have mentioned doing. I do range objects to find the ones at distances close to 20, 30, 35 & some further depending on the setup. I'll do this in several directions as soon as I can when I get into my stand & memorize them. Obviously for morning hunts I have to wait until daylight. Most times I'll remember at least most of the distances to those objects when I hunt the stand again. If I have the opportunity to range a deer, I will but when I have to be ready to draw on one without ranging 1st, I'll be real close judging the distance having ranged objects ahead of time. Chances are you'll have time to range a deer in a field. In the timber, there's a better chance you won't.
