Scbasshunter
Any experience with it? Thinking of getting one tomorrow. I've heard it is loud when it opens up. Any help would be great.
Rhino
Thought you'd have someone familiar with it by now. I'm not so can't help you one or the another with that one.
hoosierhunter
Trophy Ridge Revolution rest. Don't forget about that rangefinder
Scbasshunter
Trophy Ridge Revolution rest. Well, I had the rest put on today and I really like it. Only problem is now I have to resight my bow. I might try to find a cheap rangefinder on eBay.
Scbasshunter
Trophy Ridge Revolution rest. Is Simmons or Bushnell an ok brand. It's the only one I can find under $100.
hoosierhunter
Trophy Ridge Revolution rest. It really doesn't matter at that point. The important thing is having one.
Scbasshunter
Trophy Ridge Revolution rest. Should I bother getting one with "true horizontal distance"? Seems like at a max of 30 yds it won't make much of a difference.

hoosierhunter
Should I bother getting one with "true horizontal distance"? Seems like at a max of 30 yds it won't make much of a difference. It can have an effect and would be nice to have but it takes a pretty steep angle to have more than a 5 yard change in distance.
Rhino
Using a little math from my old algebra days: If you're 20' up in a tree & a deer is 20 yards from the tree, your distance to the deer is just 21.08 yards. OK so you may like to get higher...lets use 25' up in your tree...doing the math for the 20 yard deer puts you 21.67 yards from you to the deer. If you're 20' up and a deer is 30 yards from your tree you're actual distance is 30.73 yards. If you're 25' up that deer at 30 yards from your tree is 31.14 yards from you. That's not much of an error factor to be concerned with.
Scbasshunter
Trophy Ridge Revolution rest. I bit the bullet and bought a red field raider 500. Not the best one they make but it will do.
dbHunterNY
it will work fine. redfield makes good economical stuff that shouldn't be confused with cheap. about the rest.... I just shot next to a guy that had one on his bow tues. his bow seemed pretty quiet so no I don't think it's noisy if setup right.
